Risk not one Masonic Family I Pray
My Brothers,
The Grand Lodge of Oregon declares May 2020 in an edict to all Lodges, concordant, and appendant bodies in Masonry to practice self-disciplines as we did in April. Meetings and social gatherings are cancelled through May. This is probably a cautious decision that will save lives and help bend or start to flatten that infection curve of the Covid 19 virus.
But that’s not all that was in the “Edict”. It is suggested that we turn on the technology switch. We can learn to have fun doing some Masonic business on the internet. I confess that using technology above my know how is uncomfortable. But, comfort be damned. I am going to take and dip my big toe into the cyberworld. How about joining me? I will enjoy this opportunity to hear and possibly see what some of you look like now. That’s right, you haven’t had a haircut for a while, right?
We have time to make the effort and I hope many of you are willing to give this a try. I will be going on the internet and invite any of our Lodge Brothers who want to join me in a virtual online setting. This is a casual visit online beginning Tuesday May 5th. So check your email for your link and click on to visit. Don’t worry about of how to do stuff. Just click on the link and make mistakes. Just so you know, there are helpers who can get us up and having fun.
Please take a moment and send me your current email address to: sammisd@gmail.com.

Brethren, As you are aware, we are dark by edict. With so little happening there is little to report. I am hoping that things will open soon because your Stewards and I have some great ideas for family dinners, dinners before stated, and refreshments after degrees. If there are any reasonable requests please let me know and I will see if they may be accomplished. It is my hope to see all my brothers soon.
