Worshipful Master Keith Trahern

Greetings from the East, Brethren!

Again I first and foremost I would like to Thank WB Steve Booth. I have known Steve for many years, but to be able to work with him over the last few years has been a real honor. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the Lodge.
I am sorry if I have not been around a lot in the last Month. As you know I had the Installation early because of Thanksgiving and I wanted everyone to spend it with family. My bride and I spent 10 Days in Hawaii with 150+ Young Marines the first part of December. As soon as we got back it has been getting caught up with work, Christmas, dealing with the Flu, Etc. Anyway. Long story short, I am back on my feet and ready to run.

Officers Meeting is going to be Thursday Dec 28th. 6:30pm

Stated Meeting has been moved to January 8th and we will have an Official Visit from the Dist. Deputy.
Meeting time is 7:30pm. Our JW is planning on a Dinner prior to the meeting.

Goals for the upcoming year. “Honor the Past and look to the
Future” Seemed to me like a great theme to me.
I really look forward to working with our Officers as we have a
great lineup.
Things I think we should be working on. Fellowship, bringing back Masons that have not been showing up,
including the Families. Steve started having some fun things and Fellowship this year and I want to continue that and try to expand on it.
Other things I want to work on:
-Keep our meetings to about an hour
-Work on our communication
-Have some fun family things to do.
-Continue working on our Degree work
-Be a face in the Community.
-Work on Basic proficiency.
Anyway. That is a few things that have been on my mind. I hope to stand up and be the Worshipful Master Of the Lodge you expect me to be.

Thank you,
And Part,
On The Square

Greetings Brethren,
I hope everybody had a happy and safe holiday season.

I would like to say that I am looking forward to the year as Senior Warden working with our Worshipful Master for 2018. Worshipful Brother, Keith Trahern and I know our new Junior Warden, Doug Samis, will be planning some fine dinners for the lodge this year. And of course, thank you to all the 2018 officers, we have a great crew and I am proud to be working with all of you.

May we ever meet on the level,
Senior Warden,
Chris Smith

Starting this new year can provide us with greater growth in our Fraternity. “How can we better serve each other” will be a Theme for the ensuing year. I’ll begin with an example, and as a Junior Warden, for our January Stated meeting, we will serve dinner between 6 and 6:45. For the menu, Spaghetti with meat sauce – toasted Garlic bread and a small green salad. Mystery Dessert will follow the meeting. Oh, and please welcome your ladies. Let’s pitch in $6 each to help cover the cost. It is nice to know how many are interested too. Please email that you want to do dinner and how many. I surely don’t want to run out of food for our first month’s get together.

Each Tuesday throughout the month providing there are functions or degree practice, I would like some ideas from our brethren what kind of refreshments they would like to have. Our Senior and Junior Stuarts can take your requests also.

I’m reminded that some of our Masonic Brothers don’t have email, so I would encourage everyone to simply call Brothers, connecting with one or many to confirm they are hearing about our Lodge functions and events.

I have Brothers and among them I would like to strengthen our relationships. Doing more together does more for each one of us. Have you got something we might be able to help with? Go ahead, reach out, make your day…
